The Solcz Family Foundation was founded by Michael G. Solcz (2024) and his wife, Doreen (2025), together with their four sons: Len, Marty, Michael Jr., and Mark. Deeply rooted in the Windsor-Essex community where the family was raised, works, and continues to live, the Solcz family has long been committed to supporting local charitable causes, with a particular focus on improving the lives of children, youth, and families.
What we fund:
1. Pilot or Expanded Programming (funding innovation and growth)
- Helping charities to introduce new, or expand on, current programming. Scaling up existing programs to have more reach, introducing new approaches to address emerging needs, or piloting innovative programs that address the organization’s mission.
2. Sustaining Core Programming (funding what already works) *NEW*
- Helping charities to sustain proven, core programming (essential day-to-day programs that support the on-going work of the charity as they meet critical community needs).
3. Capacity Building & Infrastructure (funding for sustainability over time) *NEW*
- Helping charities to explore ways to operate more effectively and reduce costs over time.
